My dad's always said the same.
But if you read the Beatle's song, the lyrics mostly rhyme and there's an element of poetry to the lyrics. It's not the greatest lyrics by any stretch of the imagination, but you can tell there is rhythm and rhyme.
Whereas the Rebecca Black lyrics are a bunch of gobbeldy crap that you can't fathom reading normally in your own head, and there have to be lyrical jumps to accomodate the obtuse lyrics...
I've always thought The Beatles were one of the most overrated bands in history. Not that this comparison proves it by any stretch of the imagination, just a bit of fun. Still, found it quite amusing =)
