An Idiot For Norwich

Many of you may recognise one Karl Pilkington from the television program 'An Idiot Abroad' - a show where Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant send this hapless Little Englander to exotic locations around the world, purely to watch him squirm out of his comfort zone. Famed also for his hilarious musings on the Ricky Gervais podcast, Karl Pilkington has become something of a household name in recent years. And certainly, this is who seemed to be on the mind of one of the BBC Sports writing staff this afternoon.

Now, there is a football player for Norwich City called Anthony Pilkington. Today, Pilkington took to the field at Carrow Road to face Arsenal, a game which they lost 2 - 1. However, upon perusing the BBC's match report I noticed a player unfamiliar to me had made it into the article.

I'm wondering how long it will take before anybody at the BBC notices that the moronic equivalent of Michael Palin doesn't play for Norwich City...
