Gameinformer have released some telling images of what to expect in the next instalment of the Assassin's Creed series. According to the artwork, it would seem that we will now leave Renaissance Europe for the American Revolution. Details are still thin on the ground, but as they say, 'a picture is worth a thousand words'.
Like many others, I have begun to ponder on the storyline. First, it would make sense that the British will represent the Templars, given their position of wealth, power and hellbent drive to take over the world in the form of the Empire. It thus wouldn't surprise me if the rebels then are more inclined toward the Assassin's plight of freedom and liberty. Likewise, I'm also sure we'll bump into some historical figures of the time. I can just picture Benjamin Franklin being the new Leonardo DaVinci, giving our protagonist useful bits of equipment such as kites to attract lightning. Who that protagonist is however is obviously still a mystery, but that the artwork shows him clutching a tomahawk might suggest a Native American heritage. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me to learn if our assassin is George Washington himself. Still, this all seems like a pretty exciting concept and I eagerly wait more info.
